Safety Is Built Into the Way Earthco Works

June is National Safety Month, a time to recognize the habits, training, and preparation that help keep teams safe every day. At Earthco, safety is more than a checklist. It is part of how we work, how we prepare, and how we look out for one another in the office and in the field.

From landscape maintenance crews to operations teams, every role depends on awareness, communication, and consistency. Whether our teams are preparing for a day on-site, operating equipment, working in changing weather conditions, or supporting projects behind the scenes, safety is built into each step of the process.

Training That Supports Safe, Prepared Teams
Strong safety practices begin with education. Ongoing training helps ensure our teams understand how to recognize risks, respond appropriately, and take preventive action before issues arise.

At Earthco, safety preparation includes important training such as first aid awareness, heat illness prevention, and proper use of personal protective equipment, commonly known as PPE.

These practices help support safer work environments and give team members the tools they need to protect themselves and those around them.

In landscaping, conditions can change quickly. Crews may be working outdoors in heat, around equipment, near traffic, or across active properties. Preparation helps our teams stay alert, make informed decisions, and maintain a high standard of care throughout the day.

Safety in the Field
Field safety is an essential part of landscape maintenance and service work. Before work begins, teams must be equipped with the right tools, the right protective gear, and a clear understanding of the task ahead.

Proper PPE use, equipment awareness, hydration, site communication, and attention to surroundings all play an important role in keeping crews safe. These daily habits may seem small, but they help create consistency and reduce preventable risks on-site.

Safety also supports the quality of the work. When teams are prepared, organized, and aware of their environment, they are better able to perform their work with focus and professionalism.

A Culture of Looking Out for One Another
A strong safety culture is not created in a single meeting or training session. It is reinforced through daily choices, ongoing education, and a shared commitment to protecting one another.

At Earthco, safety means paying attention, speaking up when something needs to be addressed, and supporting the people working beside us. It means recognizing that every team member has a role in maintaining safe job sites, safe offices, and safe routines.

National Safety Month is an opportunity to recognize the effort that goes into this work every day. From preparation and training to awareness and accountability, safety remains an important part of Earthco’s standards.

Continuing the Commitment
Safety is not separate from the work we do. It is part of the work itself. As Earthco continues to serve properties, maintain landscapes, and support our teams in the field and office, we remain committed to reinforcing safe practices, investing in training, and building a culture where people look out for one another.

This National Safety Month, we recognize the Earthco teams who bring that commitment to life every day.
